PETONE TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL
Mr. A. W. Riddolls, 8.E., B.Sc, recently appointed assistant-instructor in engineering, will take up Ms duties at tile Petone Technical High School next Monday. Applications have' been called for a teacher for the commercial' class and another for general subject. These -will be appointed at the next meeting of the Board of Managers and in . the meantime tho classes aro being carried ou by temporary teachers. •On Monday the principal (Mr. A. McFadyean) attended at the school'to enrol pupils for the night classes, and was kept busily engaged. The demand for an advanced accountancy class exceeded expectations, and this class will definitely be established. There was also a demand for a class in ticketwriting and poster work and a class for this work-is almost.assured. Temporary accommodation for three day classes has been secured in the Labour Hall, pending the completion of the workshops in. Kensington avenue, when the'premises at present used as a workshop will bo converted into classrooms.
