CHRISTCHURCH, 7th February.

■.: Gordon Wicks, aged- 25, single, lies ■hi Christchurch Hospital in; a,-, critical condition as a result of severe head injuries received in a fall at tke broadsiding meeting at Monica Park 'oil" Saturday. He fell when sliding out of a bend, and N. Gray, following close behind, also fell. It appeared that Gray struck both Wicks : and his machine. Gray was shakcn,,but otherwise unhurt.

"Wicks was carried off the track inert and unconscious, and this afternoon had not fully recovered consciousness.
