EMPIRE CONGRESS

CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

A cable has been received by the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire advising that October, 1933, has been fixed as the- month in which the thirteenth congress of the Federation will be held in New Zealand.

The congress will be held in Wellington, and will be attended by representatives of chambers of commerce throughout the Empire. The last congress was held in London in 1930, and the_previous one in , South Africa in 1927. Congresses have also been held in.Canada (1903 and 1920), and Australia—m the latter case in 1909, when delegates visited New Zealand and toured .the country.
