RACES IN EVANS BAY
Several races postponed from earlier in the season owing to unsuitable weather were sailed by the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club yesterday morning. There was a full-sail southerly breeze. The Betty was a comfortable winner in the Kona-Jellicoe class event, with the Clyde second, and the Wellesley 11. third. The Kio 11. won the first-class centreboarders' race, and the Poncke from scratch was successful ia the second-class centre-boarders' event. The handicaps, corrected times, and placings were as follows:—
