GOOD SAILING TIMES
The southerly breeze on Saturday afternoon made for good times in the Royal .Port Nicholson Yacht Club's handicap
The Ailsa won the first-class keelers' event, finishing Bmin ahead of the Wairere 11., and nearly 13min ahead of the Viola, which retained their positions when the times wore adjusted. The Rona, which was the only other starter, did not finish. Fir^t place in the second-class keelers' race went to the Linnet with an allowance of 28min. The Atalanta was the first boat home, but on corrected times the Linnet, Xanette, and Miru in that order were awarded the places. The Lavina scored easily in tho 18ft and under class race, in which only five boats finished the course'out of thirteen starters. The Scandal was placed second and the Idono third.
The handicaps, corrected times, and placings were as follows: —
