MANAWATU TOURNEY

PALMERSTON N., 31st January. The finals of the mixed doubles championship and handicap singles in the 'Mahawatu " Lawn -Tennis Association's district tournament were played on Saturday afternoon.
Salmond and Boddy defeated Heremai and Wepeipahana in the championship match, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, and N. G. Brown (scr), who won the championship singles, defeated Radford in the handicap event, .50-39.. . •
