CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE

HASTINGS, 31st January. Alfred Eagle, aged 22, received concussion and head and facial injuries, and Cecil Verran, aged 26, was seriously injured .on Saturday evening on the. Napier-Waipukurau main highway in a collision' between a motor-cycle, driven by Verran with Eagle riding pillion, and a ear driven by Dr. E. J. Sutton, of Napier.

Verran and Engio wore both thrown some distance. Eagle's condition is satisfactory, but Verran had only regained semi-consciousness this evening.
