WORSER BAY BOATING CLUB

■ The Worser Bay Boating Club's fipt race this year was won by Ngamutu, which was sailed by A. Hoisfall. The wind was a fresh southerly, and most boats were reefed down. Of seven starters, Ngamutu (lOmin) was first away. She held the lead all the way around the course. Ngaroma (4min) could have had at least another minute, being passed fairly early in the race by the Kea and OJC. Baby, which were allowed 2min each. The three scratch boats, Butterrib, Kiwi, and Demon, filled the three last places in that order, the course being too short for them to find a place.. Results and finishing times were: Ngamutu (lOniin), 4hr 18min lOsec, 1; Kea (2min), 4br 18min 40sec, 2; O.K. Baby (2min), 4hr 19min, 3.

Also started: Ngaroma (4min), 4hr 20 mm 50sec; Butterrib (scr), 4hr 22min 30 sec; Kiwi (scr), 4hr 22min 40aec; Demon (scr), 4hr 23min 30sec.
