SARGOSSA SEA

A party of people have left England on a quest'which-periodically attracts adventurous spirits. They have gone to find out some of the supposed secrets of the Sargossa Sea—that strange area which is supposed to hold the hulks of scores of ships and derelicts—for ever doomed by the. impenetrable masses of weed that choke them in the mysterious Sargossa. Talk of the Sargossa Sea to a seafarer and he will think of a little portion of the Atlantic which probably he has crossed a' score or more times, but he' will never think of mysterious ghost ships held in bondage by miles and mileß of weed. Neither ho nor any other seafarer has ever seen such a place, and by all the rules of present-day travel, never will. Practically every mile of the Atlantic has been traversed and is being traversed each year, either by steamers or sailing ships, large vessels or coasters, and the fictional size of the Sargossa is sufficient to make . it; impossible. ".to be tnissed.
