The first sports meeting in the "second part of the Wellington "Amateur.. Athletic Centre's programme .is ..ta.be held at Athletic tafk' oh Saturdiiy "afternoon/ An attractive programme has been mapped Out, and will provide competition-~in; all branches of the sport. The leading athletes and cyclists in Wellington will be taking part, and, as they are now in tiptop f;orm; or -are approaching their best, there should be some yery fine contests. -In -the track events there will be such welliuown. performers as C. H.. Jenkins, ft. Bayne, and Miss T. Kench, each a New Zealand champion, and others who are capable of fully extending the best talent. The ladies' 'events"promise to be more than -usually interesting. . They are two sprint handicap "race's,: a '440 yards relay race, and a long jump.
