Huxley,.. regarded as the world's greatest speedway rider, has won more events and. broken more records than any other competitor on the speedways of the world, ;J but : .«p till-the-present he has not yet had an opportunity of including achievements on New Zealand tracks in his formidable list. However, Huxley is now in Wellington,- and he will be in action at.--the. Kilbirnie Stadium Speedway on Saturday night, when, in contests with other noted riders, he will be able to demonstrate to tho Wellington, public the wonderful extent to which he has accomplished the art of broadsiding. No other rider is better known on the speedways of the world," and this has • come about through Huxley's exceptional skill, by which he has been ranked as the world's champion. He is to appear in. special match races: as well as in a "Big Nine" contest on Saturday night,: and, with Tom Farndon (England) and .Wally' Kilmister, who engaged in some sterling battles last Saturday, listed among his opponents, the standard of' performance should be the highest ever reached in New Zealand.
