GOLD IN PHILIPPINES

SENSATIONAL DISCOVERY

ORE ASSAYS HIGH TO TON

NEW YOKE, 4th January. The "New York Times" Manila correspondent states that the Big "Wedge Mining Company, operating the Atnimok properties near Daguio, reports that Mr. Arthur Doo, a San Francisco mining engineer, while inspecting the properties, made what is apparently the most sensational gold strike ill Philippine history. If true, this will be one of the world's major gold discoveries. Samples of Mr. Doe's ore assayed here show the remarkable value in straight commercial ore of at least 2000 dollars to the ton. Several specimens rate as high as 3000 dollars to the ton.

The Big "Wedge Company plans to dovelop the find.
