COMMUNISM'S NEW FORM 1' - :" <■ ~' \ 'A new form of Communist activity in New South' Wales is the decision of the party to try to break up the existing sporting organisations and form a workers'^sports federation, says'the "Sydney Morning Herald." A provisional',committee ; has been set up in Sydney to undertake the work, and it is proposed eventually to send competitors to the "World Spartakiade." 'This event, is an attempted Communist substitute for the „ Olympic Games, arid , the first gathering at which Communist sportsmen from | several Continental countries, including Russia,' was held at Berlin on 6th ' July. ' ' / The objective -, of the movement is set out as follows:—To win from capitalism the youth of our class and carry on a. bitter and iclentless struggle against all kinds of'boss-class commercialised sport. Among the organisations with, sporting activities which are condemned in the party's manifesto are the Boy Scouts, church brigades, V.M.C.A., Y.AV.C.A., and factory clubs.
