RAIN CALLS A HALT
TOURNEY INTERRUPTED
FINALS PLAYED TO-DAY
The unfavourable weather yesterday interrupted the progress of the Wellington lawn tennis championships on the association's courts at Miramar. The strong northerly wind of gale force was a big handicap in the morning, and this at 1 o'clock :ii the afternoon gave place to rain,. Play was then abandoned until 9 o'clock this morning. It was unfortunate that the weather should have provided a setback yesterday, but, happily, to-day conditions were of the right order for bright and attractive tennis. . ; Results of yesterday's games and those played after "The Post" went to press on Thursday are as follows:— MEN'S SINGLES.
