INDIVIDUAL NECKLACES
"Individuality necklaces" are a characteristic of modern -woman's dress this season at Homo, states a correspondent. : Mme. Erigoyen, a weathy South American visitor to London, has achieved success in this direction. She wears, a? new, attractive 'necklace to match her brown suit. This necklace is composed of a string of real nutmegs in different shades of brown, with small dried, peas befr\\ ecu, the nutmegs. But the nutmegs, like a lucky amulet, have a definite purpose. They aic said to. ward.-.'off colds and chills f ronr the wearer. When Mme. Erigoyen tires of them she exchanges them for a necklaec of solitaire diamonds, or ono of peails, each pearl.the size of a sixpence, the necklace being valued at £100,000. ! Necklace designers are doing their' best to hell) women in their search for the individual necklace. Some have been inspired by Eastern Africa, and are of curious heavy ivory and gold discs, while others are of striped beads like old-fashioned marbles. The necklace composed- of silveredged discs is, perhaps, one of the most attractive. Each disc has a mirror, in which the wearer can find the reflection of her own face. ]
