Director of Antiquities, Trausjordania, and Miss Agnes Conway, only daughter of Sir Martin Conway, the art connoisseur, traveller, mid former M.P. for the Combined Euglish Universities. Like her father, Miss> Conway liad a distinguished-university career, obtaining degrees at-''-London and Dublin. She is interested.'ehicily, in history, literature, and archaeology, .and; first.'met Dr. Horsfield during an expedition to the excavations at the ruins at Petra in Arabia, where slio did much important work on which'shu is writing a book.
