DEATH AFTER ACCIDENT

A waterside worker named J. Byrnes, of 29, Patanga crescent, who was knocked down by a motor-car in Customhouse quay on Thursday, later died in the Public Hospital. Byrne received slight concussion and an abrasion to his right leg, but Ms injuries did not appear serious. His condition, however, gradually became worse. He was a widower, aged 63.
