In his new book, "So Lovers Dream" (Cussell), Alec Waugk covers the earth pretty roundly, describing life in Now York, London, arid the Eiviera, and throwing out shrewd comments on countless other places scattered east and west, north and south. However, Mr. Waugh's new book is not confined to brilliant observation; Uo weaves- a romantic story of a young novelist who Ims not yet experienced the lessons of his own populj.r books, but who proceeds, iv the course of this book, to learn, them—that jealousy is an essential part of love, that whatever one may want to be to this woman or that, however differently one's own part in the play of lir'o may be visualised, it is always in the same rolo that ono is cast. The story looks at to-day with (ho oyes oi' to-morrow, and incidentally gives a picture .of goat-slump America.
