A COATING OF ICE

RUGBY, Ist January. A rainstorm ended a sharp frost in the south-eastern counties this morning.
For a short while the coating of ice made the roads so slippery that traffic was disorganised and many minor accidents occurred. The most serious happened near Chichester, where ten passengers were hurt when two motor coaches skidded into one another;
