QUIET AT WESTPORT

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WESTPORT, Ist January. Nerw Year's Eve passed off fairly quietly in Westport: and was featured by a carnival procession headed by the Municipal Band, all' the members being dressed in fancy costume. A firemen's banquet at midnight and a hogmanay ball were other attractions.

Unsettled weather to-day caused the postponement of the returned soldiers' picnic, which was to have been held at Capo Foulwind.
