Presiding at tho Paterson, Laing, and Bruce meeting, Mr. Stanley Brueo said ho thought he could justifiably give the shareholders somo encouragement for tho future. Tho world had reached such a point that unless action was taken to bring about an international movement for an advance of the world's prices, bankruptcy would appear to be facing every nation, but he thought that Australia had reached the bottom of its depression and could look forward to a sure, but possibly very slow, improvement of her position.
