Lord Wakefield, sponsor of tho previous efforts ;to maintain Great Britain's speed supremacy on water, has decided to recondition tho successful speedboat Miss England 11. and invite tenders for Miss England 111. to bo built within four months. Kayo Don will pilot the new boat. Lord Wakefield has been assured that a new boat could be constructed to travel at least 25 miles an hour faster than the present record of 110 miles. Tho power units will be' two Bolls Royce engines similar to those used in tho winning Schneider Trophy seaplane, developing in all 5000 horse-power, oi* 1200 horse-power mo/c than those fitted in Miss England 11. The now boat will be sent iv April to Lake Garda, Northern Italy, for trials and to bo entered for tho Gabriele d'Annunzio Trophy. Later she will be sent to tho United States to compete ■with Commodore Gar Wood, and possibly other entrants for the British International Trophy.
