■The Coalition candidate for Wellington East, Mr. T. Forsyth, takes exception to a statement by Mr. P. Fraser. on Thursday evening, that he had been told that Mr. Forsyth had stated that the unemployed could get work it: they wanted it. Mr. Forsyth stated that the statement attributed to Mm was a pure invention, and had no foundation an fact; "My denial," he said, "is confirmed by the accurate report of my meeting at Eoseneath which appeared in the 'Evening Post.' Such paltry Attempts to prejudice my candidature are unworthy of Mr.'Eraser and of the Labour Party."
