MR. KERR AT WILFORD SCHOOL

Another organised attempt to break up tho meeting was made by a noisy section of the Labour Party last night when Mr. James Kerr, the Coalition candidate for Hutt, addressed the electors in Wilford School, Petono. Mr. V. A. Noble presided over about 300 people. The proceedings were lively from the outset, and at times Mr. Kerr could not be heard for the uproar. He was in good form, however, and repeatedly scored off his iutcrjectors, drawing rounds of applause from his supporters. An attempt to count the candidate out was drowned by hearty cheers for him, and he proved his ability to deal effectively with the noisy element.

At tho close of tho address a resolution was carried congratulating Mr. Kerr on being tho official Coalition candidate, and wishing him every success in his campaign and victory at the poll.
