TIM AND KIM
(Original)
Tim and Kirn were two kittens. They •were so much alike that you would not know which was which if Tim hadn't a splosh of white on the tip of his tail and Kirn a splosh of brown. Well, Kirn was given to a little girl for a Christmas present. Poor Tim was terribly lonely with no Kirn to play with; but there were two children in the house to which Kirn had gone.
As sooa as Tim knew of this, he crept round to the door of the house and waited for Kirn to appear. Just as he settled down to sleep, he heard footsteps coming round the house, and there were Kirn and his little mistress. "Oh!" cried the little girl. "He is just like you, Kiml" "Me-ow, me-ow!" agreed Kirn. "He must be lost," said Edith. "I will give him to Jimmy, 'cos it is his birthday to-morrow." So Tim and Kirn lived very happily with their master and mistrees, and they played pranks all day long. "MOONSHINE FAIRY" (S). Karori.
