Seveml two-ycir-olds made their first appearances in public on the two concluding days at Ricoai'ton last week. Some of these are likely lo be Seen in better light before the season closes. Silver Ring, recently purchased by Mr. D. Fraser, had his initial race on Saturday, and ran very promisingly. He is a half-brother, by Silverado, to Kakara, and is much more solidly built. 0. S. Donald was represented by two youngsters purchased by him at the Trentham sales. These were Radames, by Paper Money from Rada (half-sister to Sasanof), and Fight Wind, by Night Raid from St. Winnow, by Masterpiece from St. Helen, by Sign or from Helen Portland, maternal granddam of Rercmoana. Mr. G. D. Greenwood produced the first of, Agrion's progeny to race in Importance, whose dam, Egotism, was responsible for Autobiography, Wayward. Pride, and Jaloux. She is a well-grown chestnut filly, and'did well enough to attract attention. Los Quex, by Lord Quex from Los Vegas (dam of Fluency), was paraded by T. H. Gillett for the filly's Wellington owners, Messrs. J. Nicholson' and A. Gustoffson, who purchased her at the Trentha'm sales' for 140 guineas.
