MR.. WRIGHT AT NORTH-
LAND
Am attentive hearing was given to Mr. B. A. Wright, official CoaSition candidate for Wellington Subiu-bs, in his address at the Methodist Schoolroom, Northland, last night. Mr. J. Head occupied the chair. There was at times some interruption from several hecklers, but Mr. Wright was not much diverted from the theme he was discussing, and the meet ting ended with a vote of thanks to the candidate, carried by acclamation. The main portion of Mr. Wright's add ress was devoted to a review of the political situation. He also dealt with tho financial position and unemployment. He emphasised tho necessity of ;istiL»ti 11 f» the primary industries, upon wlcich Now Zealand depended for its prosperity. Approval was expressed of the intention of the Government to promote the opening up and settlement oC Native unoccupied land. This in itafolf would do something towards solving tlie unemployed problem.
