EGYPT'S BULLION ROOM
FIRST ENTRY BY DIVERS
(limes Cable.) 1 j LONDON, 18th November. ' A message from aboard the salvage' ship Artiglio states that a diver en* tered the liner Egypt's bullion room for tho first time to-day. Although the light was bad and no* thing was clearly distinguishable, ha| saw dimly gleaming below him some^ thing of a lighter colour than the walls of tho room—probably the top laye; of boxes of silver bars. A sounding showed that the bullion! room is full to within two feet of the . roof. The contents apparently are not. disturbed. Divers from the salvage ship Artiglio succeeded on Ist November in opening the liner Egypt's bullion room. As far as they were able to see there is bullion valued ot £1,000,000 in the room, and it shouid be possible to raise it without much difficulty.
