MANCHURIAN SITUATION

TOKIO, 17th, November.

The situation in Northern Manchuria is growing worse. Regardless of Japan'a. request to General Ma Chanshan 's troops to keep at a distance and enable tho Japanese to retire from the Nonni region, several skirmishes' are re* ported.

The military authorities intimate that instead of withdrawal, troops and reinforcements are becoming urgently necessary.

It was reported to-day that Japanese planes bombed the Chinese Eastern Railway, whioh lnay'involve the Soviet.
