SWEDISH MATCH COMBINE.
Xo interim dividend is being paid this year by the' Swedish Match Co., 'the £13,000,000 international combine, owing to the- unsettled economic conditions. Formerly "the interim was 5 per cent., followed by a final dividend of 10 per cent. The directors state that a considerable proportion of the profits will have to be lined to ollset severe depreciation in the company's holdings of securities. The combine hasmateh monopolies in several European and South American countries, and in conumction with its associated concern, Kreuger and Toll, has granted loans to severa] Governments, such loans being payable in United States dollars.
