GAOL FOR THREE MONTHS
"Although he did not damage the cars a bad feature of this case is that he used them to go to tho Hutt district, where he committed breaking and entering offences," said Detective Sergeant Eevell, when/Eric Alexander Forrest pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court to-day to two charges of converting motor-cars to his own use. The detective-sergeant said that the cars were taken from outside the Town Hall at Carterton. The Magistrate, Mr. E. Page, said the accused had two previous convictions for theft, and sentenced him to three months' imprisonment oneach charge, the terms to be concurrent. On a further charge of stealing a suitcase, a gramophone, and records, valued at £5 lls, Forrest was remanded to appear at Lower Hutt on "Wednesday.
