WEDDINGS

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Joseph's Church, Wellington, of Jean, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Lumniis, of Wellington, to Beginald Malcolm, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Johnsto'ne, of Wellington. Tho Bey. Father Fletcher officiated. Mrs. G. Aldridge was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin, cut on Grecian lines, with fitting sleeves. Her veil was of tulle, worn back on the head and caught on either side with orange blossom. Her bouquet was a beautiful sheaf of white tulips. Miss Adeline Lummis (sister), and Miss Jean Mitchell, wore bridesmaids, both wearing .frocks of jade green marietta and lace, with sleeveless bodices and hats of green tulle to match. They carried sheaves of pink tulips. Little Jean Black (Nelson) was flower-girl, wearing a green satin frock of early Victorian design, and a green tullo hat, and she carried a sheaf of lemon tulips. Mr. J. Gribble was best man, and Mr. B. Morris groomsman. As the bride and groom.left the church members of the Technical College Old Students' Tennis Club formed an arch overhead of tennis racquets. After the ceremony a reception was held in Miss Inez Connop'a studio, where Mr. and Mrs. Lummis received many guests, Mrs. Luinmis wearing a gown of black lace, a black satin coat, and baku hat trimmed with green and lemon flowers. She carried a posy of pink sweet peas and tulips. Mrs. Johnstone (mother of the bridegroom) was in a gown of cornflour blue lace and black hat, her posy being of cornflowers and lemon' tulips. Later, when Mr. and Mrs. R. Johnstone left for a motor tour, the bride wore a black tailored costume and a black model hat.
