Me has had an extremely strenuous fortnight while engaged in one of I he hardest fought contests of the election, and at the same time giving the necessary attention to affairs of State, and there is a wish | among his political friends that he should take as much rest as possible before the opening of the Parliamentary session on Tuesday week.'
Mr. Mac Donald's first public pronouncement following the election will probably be at the Lord Mayor's banquet on 9th November.
He is expected to be engaged most of next week in considering the reconstruction of Cabinet, for which purpose he will be in close touch with Mr. Baldwin and Sir Herbert Samuel. There is a meeting of Cabinet on Tuesday.
