WEDDINGS
The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Mark's Church of Joyce Patricia, elder daughter of Mr., and Mrs. P. P. Reveirs, of. Hataitai, to. Joseph James, son of Mrs. S. J. Knight and the late Mr. J. Knight, of Waverley. The ceremony, was performed by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry, and Mr. L. F. Watkins presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted, by her father, wore a frock. of ivory Spanish cobweb lace over satin, with a fitting bodice, and fully-flared skirt, the long-fitting sleeves forming a, point fit the wrist and the low V-shaped neck being finished with a cluster of orange blossom. Her handembroidcrcd veil, Vrbich formed a train, was arranged from a cap. of Spanish lace trimmed with orange blossom, this lace also being introduced into tho 'corners' of the veil, and she carried a shower bouquet of deep cream rosos, freesias, and heather. Floral horseshoes were presented- to the bride by Mr. B. G. lieveira and, little Ngaro .Walmsleyf'IMrs v ßds,s- Trewheellar was matron ol"'hbuouiv.v>vith Miss Doriise Reveirs (sister; of tho-bride) and Miss Erica Toulson as bridesmaids. They wore lettuce-green. '-'inaiietto frocks, the bodices being made with flared frills to give a bolero' effect. The flared.; skirts were, trimmed' .with rings of marigolds, and their felt hats were in, the same tones. -They-carried bouquets of marigolds. ■ The flower-girl, little Fay Walmsley, was dressed in an ivory frock; of mariette, trimmed with rows of scalloped ruching and finished at the waist with: green flowers, _ which were also used to trim the Juliet cap of white ribbon. She carried a.posy of polyanthus. Mr. F. W. Elwin was best man, and Messrs. R. G. Reveirs and W. G. Morgan were ushers at the. church. A reception was held a,t Kirkcaldie and Stains rooms,' where Mrs. Reveirs received the guests, wearing a frock and coatee of black floral French crepe do chine .with touches of orango and green, with hat to tone, and carrying a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. Enight wore a black ensemble with lavendar. trimmings and hat to match. She carried a bouquet of anemones and cyclamen. Tho bride's travelling frock was of leaf-green floral crepe, de chine, with small hat to tone,-her coat being of amethyst and green. . , ■
