MUCH DAMAGE DONE

[ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHBISTCHUKCH, This Day. Damage running into hundreds of pounds was done to the State plantation near Hanmer by a fire which broke out yesterday and raged for four

hours. About 150 acres were affected. Fanned by a strong north-west wind, the fire spread rapidly, and 150 men had to work hard to keep it in check.
