Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., dealt with leases in the Magistrate's Court at Petonc ton Wednesday.
A plea of guilty was entered by Eric Stanley Roclda to n charge of having negligently driven a motor-cycle, and he was fined £1.
As the result of colliding, with a pedes■irian when turning his cat- from Jackson street int.o Beach street on a Friday night Athol Hubert Graham M'Gavin was charged with having driven in a manner which might have been dangerous to the public; He pleaded not guilty, but was convicted and lined ,Cl.
A maintenance order of 10s a week for each of two children was made agaiust Gilbert Leonard Taylor.
Vera May Nicholson proceeded againßt H. Nicholson, for disobedience of a maintenance order. The defendant was convicted and sentenced to one months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended on the payment of 9s a week. A. W. Btanuard wjis successful in having arrears of maintenance due by him to the Child Welfare Department remitted, but the present order against him was not changed. On a judgment summons R. Park was ordered to pay Pacific Service Station £52 30s Bd, £13 forthwith and the balance at the rate of £1 a week; B. O. Prior to pay H. Taylor £26 9s at the rate of 7s 6d a week in default three weeks' imprisonment. ,
