MAN'S BODY FOUND
BULLET WOUND IN HEAD
Early on Wednesday evening the decomposed body of a man was found in a gully at Makara. 'There wasr a bullet TVxmnd in tho head, and'a six-chambered revolver was lying alongside the body. So ,far tho police have been unable to identify tho deceased.
1 The,deceased, who was about 6ft in height, was wearing a heavy woollen overcoat, -fawn and speckled in colour) with the, name 'iPopptewell-and Co.. Hastings, 1-' on. the tag.: JHe \rja,9 also wearing a Jbluo serge suit,.light brown hat, tolaek shoes,- white shirt, and a white soft collar. - In big possession were two white handkerchiefs, .one marked with the initial- B, a pair of leather gloves, a' small black comb, and a fountain pen. The deceased had a -gold plate in. the-roof of his month with two artificial teeth, and also had three teeth-filled 'with gold. Any information ■ that might lead,, to the identification of "the deceased-would be welcomed by the police. . - ,
