TJie passage this session of. portion of tho Transport Licensing Bill. was foreshadowed in. tho Houso of Representatives yesterday by tho Minister of Transport (the. Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates.) .■ '■.., • ..■•.■
"There are, I am afraid, quite a number of important Bills that: must: be dropped this session," said Mr. Coates, "but I iiopo to get through tho first instalment of the Transport' Act, that is, something that will bo sufficient to overcome present difficulties. It may not be possible to carry a comprehensive- Bill into effect this session. On the other hand I take it after the elections it Will be necessary to pass' certain other measures in that lino whatever Government is in power." " ;
