COST OF AMMUNITION

INQUIRY RECOMMENDED

A petition was presented in the House of Representatives recently by -N. B. Fryday, of Ngaero, Taianaki, asking for an inquiry into the cost of ammunition. Reporting upon the petition yesterday, the Industries and Commerce Committee expressed the opinion that the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. The Committee al&o recommended that tho Industries and Commerce Department be instructed to make a full investigation into tho prices charged for ammunition by tho Colonial 'Ammunition Company, and generally into the operations of the company. ,^___
