ARREST OF A BISHOP.

FEW CASUALTIES

(British Official Wireless.) BUGB^T, 27th October. A telegram from the Governor of Cyprus reports that the situation is distinctly easier in the towns, and shops are again open in Nicosia. It is expected that the schools will open to-day. The Bishop of Kyrcnia was arrested yesterday morning, and a lawyer and t,vo Communists have been arrested.

The total casualties to civilians reported to, date are two killed, two died of wounds, and 31 wounded. The number of police injured is 35.
