LOWER HUTT TOURNEY

The afternoon at Lower Hutt was equally pleawiut rind successful. Hataitai came through with honours in this tournament, Arddl's rink defeating Fcrkins's rink (Island Bay) in the final. The results of the tourney were: — SECTION A. Eraser (Hutt), 3 wins. 2 losses; M'Arthur (Petone), 3 wins, 2 losses; Vagg (Woburu), 2 wius, 2 losses, 1 tie; Hodgins (Hutt), 1 wiu, 3 losses, 1 tie; Ardell (Hataitail, 4 wins. I loss; J. Campbell (Hutt), 3 wins, 2 losses; Lopdell (Mutt). 2 wins, 3 losses; Whitcher (I.l.utt), 2 wins., 3 lo^cs; Cornier, 3 wins, 2 losses. The section winner was Ardell. SECTION B. Shearer (Mutt), 2 wins, 3 losses: Forkins (Island Bay), 4 wins, 1 loss; Stonehouse (Hutt), 1 win, 3 losses, 1 tie; Mumby (Upper Hutt), 3 wins, 1 loss; Slinn (Hutt), 2 wins, 3 losses; Hill (Wellington), 2 wius, 3 losses; Walton (Hutt), 2 wins, 3 losses; Raeburn (Petone Central), 1 win, 3 losses, 1 tic; Brenner (Woburn), 4 wins, 1 loss; Eddie (Hutt), 1 win, 4 losses; Ham (Victoria), 3 wins, 2 losses; Teagle (Hutt), 4 wins, 1 loss. Although Ferkins, Brenner, and Teagle tied with 4 wins and 1 loss, Ferkins was declared.the winner of the section, as his margin of victory in the first game was greater than that of cither Brenner or Teagle. In the final, Strang-Munro, Mocller, Brighting, Ardell (Hataitai), 14, beat Mason, Hare, Osborne, Ferkins (Island Bay), 5. The Khandallah Club is opening its season at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday.
