to put the mills on full time, while the initial stimulus from Hie suspension of the gold standard has been aided considerably by the Manch'urian trouble. Up to the beginning of the month, mills working at 50 per cent, of their normal capacity are now up to 73 per cent., and order books are better than for years past. '
