The seamen and firemen on the Ormislon decided not to renew lltoir articles, which expired yesterday. They are awaiting the decision of today's meeting in the Town Hall before taking any further action. The crews of several other ships are doing likewise. Failing a settlement, it is expected that a call will be made for volunteers. The Federal Ministry will reconsider its attitude towards the strike, if no settlement is reached by tomorrow. The Ormiaton is a cargo vessel of 5832 tons, built in 1923 by Stephen and Sons, of Glasgow, and belonging to Eastern Traders, Ltd., registered at Melbourne.
