Melbourne Cup scratchings are: Glare, Cupidity, Vali, Stephen, Starstone, High Bore, First Acre, Chide, Induna, Parkwood, La Justice, and Battenburg. The final acceptances will close to-morrow. Stephen has been scratched for the Derby. It is* reported that Chatham is a doubtful runner. A decision will be made tomorrow. Viol d'Amour is improving, and has reappeared on the Epsom tracks after weelcs of absence. Bob Lewis will ride Prince Dayton This is Lewis's thirty-fourth ride in the Cup. Homednle has been rehandicapped with 101b in the Cantala Stakes. It now carries 7.12.
