PATRICK'S STORES.
Wellington should be proud of the new building that has been erected on the corner of Cuba aud Vivian streets for Patrick's Drapery Stores, to be officially opened on Thursday next at 9.30 a.m. This fine modern edifice, with its attractive facade, fifteen display-windows, convenient situation and lay-out; is a further tribute to the confidence of business men in their city, and gives a dignity to one of the finest shopping corners in Wellington. Ground floor lay-out is up-to-date and convenient—providing comfortable, uncrowded shopping; first floor features a commodious showroom, quietly elegant and ideal for women's purpose. The men's department is entirely separate, with its own entrance. The stores' improved facilities will be a revelation to patrons, and Patrick's Corner will no doubt bo a busier centre than heretofore. The handsome building, fresh from the builders' hands, is a. triumph of modprn store design, well-planned and constructed. An announcement; as to the ■ penmg appeals on page .11.
