(By Telegraph'.—l^ress Association;) •- AUCKLAND, 26th October. A full day series of cricket matches was held to-day ill wintry conditions, with showers at intervals. The wickets were sodden, but were inclined to assist the bowlers, which accounted for the small scores. University, 118, and 26 for no wickets, beat Eden, 54 and 90, on the first innings. Sclmauer took seven wickets for 23 runs for University, and jVE'Rae took six for 47 for Eden. V.M.C.A., 161 (I'Vater 97, A. Kkldolls 41), beat Ponsonby, 144 (I\.' C. Sneddeu 46). Cooper took five wickets for 33 runs for V.M.C.A., and Suedden seven for 56 for Ponsonby. King's Old Boys, 104 (Morris 40) beat North Shore, 102 (Saunders 42 not out). Bowling for King's, Simpson took sis wickets for 49, and Coates for Shore took four for 13. Parnell, 207 (Whitekw 39, Anthony 39, Stein' 35) beat Graf ton, 10a. Bowling for Paruell, Hawke took live wickets for 19.
