WAIRARAPA V. HUTT

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, 2Gth October. At tlie Wairarapa High School to-day, the Wairarapa senior representative cricketers defeated Hutt by 35 runs on the first innings. Wairarapa, in the first innings, scored 224 runs. Scoring all round the wicket, Massey gave a sound display to register the first century in Wairarapa this season. Other successful Wairarapa batsmen, were: Denby 31, Blamires '25. Bowling for Hutt, Pegler took four wickets for 3 runs. In the first innings Hutt's tally reached IS9 runs. The best batsmen were: L. Muir 25, Aim 30, Aldersley 30. Montgomery four for 37, Falloon two for 14, were the most successful trundlers for Wairarapa. JUNIOR MATCH. The junior match between Wairarapa and Hutt teams resulted in a win for Hutt by 40 runs. On the first innings Wairarapa scored 106 runs, Grove (30) aud Preston (27) being the best batsmen. Rodgers took four for 30. Lower Hutt replied with 190.. of which score Rodgers scored Cl and Tabor 44. Temple took three for 19. In the second innings Wairarapa had scored 38 runs for the loss of no wickets when stumps were drawn.
