V.M.C.A. GYMNASTICS
The first: performance of : the annual gymnastic display, of the Y.M.O.A. took place last night, a large audience being treated to a most attractive display. It will be repeated this and to-morrow evenings. Clever work by. the men -was warmly applauded last night, but equally popular were the displays given 'by the girls.- The whole performance. ; reflected great credit on the physical director and his assistant,.-Mr. J. A. Duii'y and Mr. H. J. Steptoe. ' : At the conclusion -of tho display the general, secretary of the YJNLG.A., Mr. L. J. Greenberg, thanked tlio audience for their attendance, and mentioned what a pleasure it had been •to the physical classes to show them.something of the normal work o£ the gymnasium. An orchestra of six, under Mr. Yin. Brown, played the incidental music, and Mr. Don. Hunter made;an efficient marshal. A'humorous monologue was given by Miss B. Tunks.
