JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD
■Considerable discussion took place^a* last evening's meeting of 'the $9 h™°3 ville Town Board as to whether the board should be represented at, the «ttmf_o« the Commission Bet up to discuss the. application of certain property owneis oij the Hawtrey Estate for amalgamation wita the Johnsonville Town District. The question arose out of a letter from the Lands and Survey Department, stating that the board was cited as a party to tb# lnThe TTowu Clerk said that he had replied that the board was not concerne* with the Commission, because some ot we property owners in the area objected to the amalgamation. When a final dmMOtt was made the board would be prepared W. meet representatives of those concerned* and come to an agreement. . ' Commissioner Marriott said that as tne board had been cited as a party it should, have a representative, .. The chairman (Mr. A. A. Mopre) «v,4 that the board had already agreed to tate the Hawtrey people in; the qucMion wa* whether it was agreeable to only a portion of the estate melting with JohusonvUle. Commissioner Carman said that attj Commission declared that the board ha* to take so much in, it -would have to do it. If the board was not represented th« Commission might decide on somethina the board did not want. Messrs. Moore and Carmau were »p» pointed to attend the Commissioa, and Jo*, their guidance it was decided that th« board was agreeable to taking the whowj of the Hawtrey Estate in the merger, pro* vided all the watershed on: the Johnson* villo side was included:
