POST OFFICE FINANCE

"BEST MONTHS AHEAD"

Speaking in the House of Representatives to-day, the Postmaster-General (the Hon. J. B. Donald) said he felt sure that the Minister of Finance would not do anything other than the right thing regarding the Post Office reserves, and would see that the present stable finance of the Post Office was continued. ' Eevcrting to the Department's returns, Mr. Donald said that revenue was increasing and that expenses had gone down very considerably during the past twelve months. While revenue had not been as buoyant as one would like to have seen it, the decrease in expenses was making up for the loss of additional revenue.1 . "Wo have the best months of the year ahead of us," he added, "and I have no doubt that by the end of the; financial year the returns will be satisfactory."
